B1ockOne 2013

The one word that comes to mind when talking about the 2013 Bordeaux vintage is “wet”! The first five months off the year were exactly that – and cold! June warmed up a bit just as flowering had finished and then July was the hottest summer month in 60 years. The combination of high humidity and heat triggered off many significant storms right through into harvest time in early October. Only the best vineyard teams made good wine. Hand cutting and double triage were critical.

This rare Bordeaux full varietal Cabernet Franc is light, fruity, fresh and drinking beautifully now.  It makes a perfect red wine aperitif or food wine with lighter white meat and stronger fish dishes.

ABV 11.0%

David’s Comments

“Full credit goes to the vineyard team for this wine. They beat the elements. The best Bordeaux wines that I have tasted from this vintage all have Cabernet Franc in them. B1ockOne is 100%.” David Stannard, Owner.
