Hourcat Sud from the Winery gates

With our improved web site now integrated with our blog, we thought it would be a good time to get serious about looking at our Google Analytics results – effectively the marketing data for our web site. We set up Google to track our statistics and performance back in March and with the recent changes complete it seemed like a great time to get serious about understanding what the data is telling us.

Firstly we have a large number of very loyal frequent visiting fans. 74% of our visitors are return visitors. A stunning 50% of our visitors have looked at our site more than 50 times, in fact 17% have been to www.paradiserescued.com more than 200 times!!! When we look at the bounce rate (the frequency that a visitor leaves the web site from the same page as they arrived) for return visitors the figure is close to 70%!! That’s not so good and clearly shows us that we need to refresh our web site content more often and bring it more to life. The recent change to the front page with the blog update panel and of course adding in the blog directly are small but important changes in helping to bring traffic to the site and effectively making the web site our marketing hub with all latest news. As a small operation, there is only so much that is happening at one time, but we are constantly amazed at how easy it to keep the blog page up date and full of action – even in winter in Cardan! As we move forward and release video clips, we will add another heading to the top of the web site to bring you the beautiful images.

Another very positive fact from the Analytics results is the high proportion of visitors from Australia. As the market destination for the #Cloud9 #CabFranc is Melbourne, Australia, it is good to see the greatest interest coming from the target market area. Thank you to all our loyal fans, wherever you are. Please keep coming back and never hesitate to leave a comment to this blog or email / tweet us with your thoughts and requests for more information.

Finally our thanks this week to Rich Candy at Mucho Internet Marketing for all his amazing work to complete the website / blog integration and improvement. There’s more to come as #Cloud9 2010 gets ready to start the journey to Australia.[/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
