“A dream that has no Vision is like a bottle of wine without a glass. It’s potential cannot be realised.” David Stannard
One of the key items on our Paradise Rescued “To Do” list is a real custom built micro winery. Not a big winery but certainly not the makeshift garage we use now – brilliant (but cramped) though it is. We want a place where we can easily and practically carry out our organic wine making and barrel maturing magic; a place where we can invite and welcome our customers / partners; that somewhere that we can call our home, base and office within our wonderful Cardan Bordeaux community.
Although, we haven’t yet committed to a design we have a fairly clear idea in our heads of what we want. But we don’t have a drawing or written down documented design or image. You could say that we only have a dream.
When we commit to paper, that dream becomes a Vision. Once the picture is created, then we can fully rehearse our future in our minds. The more we rehearse the future, the greater the pull and mental momentum becomes to make it reality. And the more the opportunities that will present themselves to make the new future reality happen.
When we write down, draw or paint our dream, it becomes a vision – a (picture)Vision. And the more we look at that (picture)Vision, the more our recticular activating system (auto goal seeking seeking device) and subconscious mind goes to work to rehearse the future, focussed around that image we have created. And the greater we can start to see that future. And the better we can mentally role-play what will happen.
And although we don’t yet have a full design for our winery, we very definitely do have the image of our new winery on our company’s 2020 (picture)Vision. So it will happen. But most interestingly, because it is on that Vision, it is incredible how many great ideas come to mind that will sometime soon help to make its eventual design something very special indeed. Because we have such clarity about what we want, this helps our minds to focus on finding what we need to bring it into reality.
When we control our thinking, then we can take control of our futures.
“A dream that has no Vision is like a bottle of wine without a glass. It’s potential cannot be realised.” Rehearse your future – create your Vision.
